CUET UG 2023 Registration process will Live tonight at cuet.samarth.ac.in: NTA will start the registration process for CUET UG 2023 starting tonight. Candidates can register on the official website: cuet.samarth.ac.in.
CUET UG Form 2023: The National Examination Agency (NTA) will today start the registration process for the Common University Entrance Test, Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2023. Interested and eligible candidates can register by visiting the official website of NTA – cuet. samarth.ac.in.
The announcement was made by UGC Chairman Mr. Jagadesh Kumar. He tweeted that the online submission of the CUET UG 2023 application will start tonight and end on March 12, 2023. The city’s advance information sheet will be released on April 30. According to the official statement, the CUET UG 2023 exam will be held between May 21 and 31. The test will be conducted in Computer Based Testing (CBT) mode in English and 12 other Indian languages.
Last year, the CUET UG results were released on September 16 with approximately 9,68,201 candidates taking the exam, of which 429,228 candidates were women and 5,38,965 were men. The trial was conducted in six phases in 259 cities.
CUET UG 2023: Steps to register
Step 1: Visit the official website — cuet.samarth.ac.in
Step 2: Register in by filling in your credentials such as full name, date of birth and email etc
Step 3: Once registered, sign in using your application number and password
Step 4: Fill online application form by filling in all the essential documents

Program duration:
The university offers 16 programs which would be done through CUET and the duration of each program depends on it. The integrated master’s program, which includes mathematical sciences, physics, chemistry, biology, applied geology, optometry and health physiology, lasts five years or ten semesters. Integrated masters programs like Telugu, Hindi also last 10 semesters or five years, but programs like Integrated Masters in Anthropology are a six-semester or three-year program.

Scholarships:
Scholarships are monitored by the Dean of Student Welfare. The university deals with scholarships in online mode and these are: National Maulana Azad Scholarship for Minority Students (MANF), National Scholarship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC), National Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Students with disabilities and Swami Vivekananda Single Scholarship Girl Child for Social Scientific Research (SVSGC) to name a few.
Hostels:
The university has 23 hostels that house over 5,000 students from remote areas and located on the North and South campuses for student convenience. The hostel allocation process also takes into account the reservation process based on university guidelines. No hostel facilities are provided for students residing within the municipal jurisdiction of Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
University ranking:
According to the National Institute of Ranking Framework 2022, Hyderabad University was ranked 20th in the general category and 10th in the academic category.
History:
Hyderabad University was established in 1974 as a Central University by an Act of Parliament. The university was located at The Golden Treshold and would operate from there until it moved to its current location.

Banaras Hindu University , Varanasi will start admission for its undergraduate programs from May 21 this year. Currently, the university offers over 700 programs such as BA LLB, BA Honors in Arts, Dance, Indian Languages, Economics, Sociology, BA in Zoology, Geography, and Physics to name a few. According to a notification, admission to 33 courses will be through the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

- In 2022, the centrally run Banaras Hindu University received 4.34 lakh applications through CUET, making it the second university to receive such a high number of applications. This year, BHU plans to hold entrance exams for 33 courses through CUET this year.
Program duration:
The university offers a number of programs and the duration of the programs depends on it. Undergraduate programs last three years, while graduate programs last two years, and a degree can last one or two years depending on the program of study.
Scholarships for BHU Students:
Students from various groups such as SC, ST, Handicapped, OBC, Single Girls, Economically Disadvantaged Sections, Deserving Students, etc. receive various college, state, and federal scholarships. Also, the institution has entered into agreements with various non-governmental organizations to provide financial assistance to students in various careers.
The university has established a scholarship program for BPL students. The bank account of the eligible student will receive a transfer of Rs 25,000 per year under the scheme. A second scholarship offered by the university will pay Divyang students Rs 25,000 each year. Hostels:
BHU has around 76 hostels which are segregated for boys, girls and international students. There are 41 hostels for boys, 21 for girls and four for international students. Hostels are divided into institutes or faculties.
BHU Ranking:
According to the National Institute of Ranking Framework 2022, BHU was ranked 11th in the overall category and 6th in the university category. In the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) ranking, BHU held a position between 401-450 and in the Times Higher Ranking (BHU) it was in the 601-800 band.
History:
BHU was founded by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, in 1916 with the cooperation of Dr. Annie Besant, Banaras Hindu University was established under parliamentary legislation – BHU Act 1915. Scholarship
Scholarships for students are administered by the Dean of Student Welfare (DSW). DSW offers tuition reduction for students whose total parental income is less than Rs 4.5 lakh per year. Students are granted fee reductions based on merit and means and on a case-by-case basis. The university provides more scholarships such as Nationwide Minority Online Scholarships, SC/ST & OBC Online Scholarships – State Level, Online Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Program, The Student Aid Fund for financial assistance to students needy and more.
Hostels:
Jamia Hamdard has six separate hostels for boys and girls and international students or NRIs. The hostel constitutes:
• Single-seater rooms with air conditioning
• Double rooms with air conditioning
• Double/triple rooms without air conditioning
• Bedrooms
Jamia Hamdard Rating:
According to the National Institute of Ranking Framework 2022, Jamia Hamdard University was ranked 74th in the general category and 45th in the academic category. It has also been accredited Grade A by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
History:
Jamia Hamdard began by establishing a small Unani Clinic in 1906 and it was inaugurated by the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on August 1, 1989. On May 10, 1989, the Ministry of Human Affairs granted Jamia Hamdard the status of Considered University. Resource Development (now called Ministry of Education).

The Central Karnataka University will start admission for its undergraduate programs from May 21 this year. Admission to these UG programs will be done through the Common University Access Test (CUET) carried out by the National Exam Agency (NTA).
In 2022, the centrally administered Central University of Karnataka received 95,964 applications through CUET. This year, CUK plans to run entrance exams for fifteen courses through CUET this year.

Scholarships for CUK Students:
The university offers a number of financial aid scholarships. Scholarships are awarded to students in each subject subject to the availability of funds. The university also provides a fee concession in each department of the university based on the order of the university.
CUK has 12 schools namely: School of Business Studies, School of Chemical Sciences, School of Computing, School of Earth Sciences, School of Physical Sciences, School of Behavioral and Social Sciences, School of Legal Jurisprudence Studies, School of Life Sciences, the School of Media Studies, the School of Education and Training, the School of Engineering, and the School of Humanities and Languages, and has 26 departments.
Hostels:
The university has two separate boys’ and girls’ hostels on campus. The hostel is assigned based on merit and reservation according to the number of students enrolled in the departments. Also, students from far away countries will be privileged.
History:
The Central University of Karnataka was established in 2009 under an Act of Parliament. It is one of the sixteen new central universities established by the Indian government during the period of the UGC XI plan. The Central University of Karnataka has territorial jurisdiction over all of Karnataka.

Courses offered
The university offers four BTech courses, BSc (Hons) in Psychology, BVoc in Biomedical Sciences, BVoc in industrial waste management, BVoc in retail and logistics management. It also offers three integrated BSc-MSc courses in Chemistry, Physics and mathematics.
The central university has two girls’ and two boys’ hostels for undergraduate and postgraduate students. It also offers a mess facility, a reading room, and two badminton courts. There is also a bus facility that transports students from hostel to the academic blocks
Placements
The top recruiters visiting the university’s placement drive include KPMG, Infosys, TCS, Cheggs, and BYJU’S. The placement process is conducted in both on-campus and off-campus modes. Candidates with 75 per cent attendance and above along with a good academic record are allowed to participate in the placement drive.
Scholarship
The university provides Haryana Post Matric Scholarship to its students. Candidates can apply for the scholarship online as per the eligibility criteria. A total of 13 scholarship schemes of 5 major departments of the government are offered under this scheme.

From the increase in the number of applicants in Uttar Pradesh, Delhi peaking in records, here are the main points of a comparison of this year’s CUET records compared to its first year:
- This year, a total of 16.85 lakh students registered for the entrance examination, of which 13.95 lakh paid the application fee and successfully submitted the application.
- Enrollment this year saw an increase of 4 lakh applicants in 2022, a total of 12.5 lakh students enrolled and 9.9 lakh had paid fees. There has been a 41% increase in the number of students taking the exam.
- The number of participating universities increased from 90 in 2022 to 242 in 2023. In 2022, students from 59 countries applied, which increased to 74 countries this year, with around 1000 students from various parts of Europe, from Asia, America and the Gulf countries.
- Of the 13.99 lakh students due to appear for CUET UG 2023, 6.51 lakh are women compared to 4.43 lakh applicants in 2022, an increase of almost 50%. This year, there are 7.48 lakh male applicants, an increase of 34% from last year’s 5.56 lakh male applicants.
- Interestingly, there has been a significant increase in the number of applicants from Jammu and Kashmir. In 2022, a total of 13,021 students took the CUET UG, which increased to 82,655 this time.
- There has also been a significant increase in the number of applicants from the North East (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim) from 59,208 in 2022 to 77,365 in 2023, an increase of 31%.
- A similar trend to last year is in the states that received the most registrations. As in 2022, the top three states with the highest number of applications are Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Bihar.
- Of the five southern states (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Telangana), the highest number of applications were received from Kerala. Kerala submitted a total of 56,111 applications.
- Delhi University, Banaras Hindu University, Allahabad University, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University and Jamia Millia Islamia received the highest number of applications.

ToggleIncrease in the number of exam places
This year, NTA has increased the number of test slots from two to three phases in one day. As a result, CUET will now run in three phases each day. Slot times have not yet been confirmed. In 2022, CUET was held in two shifts: from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.
Reduced number of questions
This year, the number of questions to attempt in sections 2 and 3 has been reduced. In section 2, candidates must now answer 35/40 questions out of 45/50. Similarly, in Section 3, a total of 50 out of 60 questions should be attempted. Previously, applicants had to answer 60 of the 75 questions in this section. Increased number of theme options
Candidates taking the CUET UG this year will be able to choose a maximum of 10 subjects from the three sections. Last year, this choice was limited to 9 subjects.
Increase in application fees
For CUET UG 2023, fees will be charged based on the number of subjects chosen by applicants. Applicants applying under the non-reserved category are required to pay a fee of Rs 750 for three subjects, Rs 1,500 for up to 7 subjects and Rs 1,750 for up to 10 subjects.

- With this calendar, the UGC official hopes that universities can start their academic calendar on August 1.
