About CA Foundation exams
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) conducts the CA Foundation Exam.. The exam is conducted twice a year, typically in May/June and November/December.. The exam is conducted offline mode. It’s a national-level exam.. The exam includes four papers.
- Paper 1: Principles and Practice of Accounting
- Paper 2: Business Laws and Business Correspondence and Reporting
- Paper 3: Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Statistics
- Paper 4: Business Economics and Business and Commercial Knowledge
Paper 1 and 2 are subjective, while Paper 3 and 4 are objective.. Each paper is of 100 marks, making the total marks 400. There is no negative marking for subjective papers (Paper 1 and 2). For objective papers (Paper 3 and 4), ¼ mark will be deducted for every wrong answer.. The exam can be taken in English/Hindi, except for Paper 2 (section b) which will be in English only.
About cs foundation Exams
The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) conducts the CS Foundation Course. The course is an 8-month long course. The CS Foundation Syllabus contains 4 papers.
- Business Environment and Law
- Business Management, Ethics & Entrepreneurship
- Business Economics
- Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing
The exam is a Computer Based Examination consisting of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).. The exam is conducted over two days.. Each day has two subjects, with each subject having 50 questions.. Each correct answer is awarded 2 marks. The maximum marks to be scored in each paper is 100. The duration for each subject is 90 minutes.

- Business Environment and Entrepreneurship (BEE)
- Business Management, Ethics, and Communication (BMEC)
Day 2:
- Business Economics (BE)
- Fundamentals of Accounting and Auditing (FAA)
About CMA Foundation Exams
The CMA Foundation exam is the first level of the Certified Management Accountant course in India. It is conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI). The exam is held twice a year, in June and December. The syllabus for the CMA Foundation exam includes the following papers:
- Fundamentals of Business Laws and Business Communication (FBLC)
- Fundamentals of Financial and Cost Accounting (FFCA)
- Fundamentals of Business Mathematics and Statistics (FBMS)
- Fundamentals of Business Economics and Management (FBEM)
Candidates who have passed the class 12th exam can register themselves for the exam.The duration of the CMA foundation is at least 8 months. The CMA Foundation exam is conducted in an offline mode and the questions asked are MCQ-based. The exam is divided into two sessions. Candidates need to clear all four subjects with minimum passing marks of 40% or above and a total aggregate of 50% or above.
