The Central Board for Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the Class 12 result. Students can check their results on the official websites: cbse.gov.in, results.cbse.nic.in. CBSE held the class 12 board exams in two stages this year. The first trimester exam was held in November and December 2021 and the second trimester exam was held in April.

CBSE announced the final results based on the weighting of exam scores from Sessions 1 and 2 in 2022. In the theory section, 30% weighting is given to Session 1 and 70% to Session 2. The report card will contain information on grades achieved throughout the academic year, including those for project work, practice tests and pre-internship exams.

Alternatively, students have the option of checking their CBSE Term 2 results through the DigiLocker app or the UMANG website or app.
Both apps can be downloaded from the Play Store. Students must enter the required credentials to log in and access their scorecard.

Exams were canceled last year due to the pandemic. 13,69,745 regular candidates had registered for the CBSE Class 12 exam. The pass rate was 99.37%. The girls passed with a pass rate of 99.67%, while the boys passed with a pass rate of 99.13.

This year, 33,432 applicants, or 2.33% of the total, scored above 95%, compared to 70,004 (or 5.73%) in 2021. About 1.3 lakh of applicants, or 9.39% of all candidates scored above 90%. An overall approval rating of 92.71%. That’s significantly lower than last year’s pass rate when board exams had to be canceled following the second wave of the Covid19 pandemic.

This difference in performance between 2021 and 2022 is also evident in the number of students who scored 95% or higher. In 2021, the board compiled results for class 12 students using a complex formula that took into account student performance at school as well as class 10 board exams.

The board relied on the results of pupils in their Class X Board Examinations, Class XI Final Examinations, Class XII internal tests and examinations taken at schools during the year and the results of internal assessment and board practice exam.
