India Surpasses China in Australian Student Visa Approvals

India has overtaken China in the issuance of Australian student visas as of February, marking a significant shift in international student mobility. According to recent data, more than 2,734 Indian students received visas to study in Australia during this period, surpassing China. This marks an increase from January when 2,398 Indian students secured visas, whereas China received 3,573 approvals. In August 2024, the Australian government announced plans to cap new overseas student enrollments at 270,000 for the 2025 academic year.
