Delhi University Releases Second Round of UG Seat Allocation for 2025 Admissions

The University of Delhi (DU) has officially announced the second round of undergraduate (UG) seat allocations under its Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS-UG) 2025. A total of 87,335 students have been allotted seats across various DU colleges and programmes, marking a significant milestone in the ongoing centralized admission process.

Key Highlights of Round 2 Seat Allocation:

• 24,843 fresh seat allocations were made to new candidates.
• 27,314 applicants received upgraded seat allotments based on higher preference selections.
• 17,922 students chose to freeze their previously allotted seats, opting out of further rounds.

This round reflects substantial reshuffling in seat distribution, showcasing how dynamic the CSAS-UG process is in accommodating student preferences and real-time seat availability.

Performance-Based Course Seat Allocation in Round 3

Delhi University has also clarified that admissions to performance-based courses such as:

• Hindustani Music
• Karnataka Music
• Percussion Music
• Physical Education
• Fine Arts

will be conducted in the third round of the CSAS-UG process. Candidates interested in these disciplines are encouraged to visit the respective college websites for detailed information on trial rounds, auditions, and evaluation schedules.

Academic Session Start Date

The university has announced that the academic session for first-year undergraduate students will begin on August 1, 2025. All selected candidates are advised to complete the admission formalities well in time and stay updated via DU’s official website and their respective college portals.
