DU Admissions: Previously, the university conducted its own entrance exam (DUET) for admission to graduate courses.

DU Admissions: The University of Delhi will conduct all admissions on the basis of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) from the next academic year, the executive council of the university announced today. The official statement is now available on the DU website: admission.uod.ac.in.
The decision, which was previously notified through various means, has now been communicated by the university through a statement on the website. “The Executive Council of the University of Delhi, at its meeting held on December 8, 2022, decided, with effect from the 2023-34 academic session, admissions, both undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG), including those of the Reserved Category and Minority Fee, will be carried out centrally, solely based on the score of the Common University Access Test (CUET),” the official statement said.
Previously, the university conducted its own entrance examination, the Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET), for admission to postgraduate courses. However, the entrance exam will now be suppressed and will be replaced by the CUET PG from the 2023-24 academic year.
The change in the pattern of admission to graduate programs was proposed by a 10-member committee formed to suggest a 2023-2024 PG admission strategy, according to a PTI report.
