CLAT 2025: Supreme Court Transfers Pleas Challenging Exam Results to Delhi High Court
The Supreme Court of India has directed the transfer of all petitions challenging the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 results to the Delhi High Court. This decision ensures a consolidated hearing of the cases, bringing uniformity to the legal proceedings.

On February 6, a bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justices Sanjay Kumar and K V Viswanathan issued the order, scheduling the hearing for March 3, 2025. The directive mandates that registrars from multiple high courts—including those of Bombay, Karnataka, Punjab and Haryana, Madhya Pradesh, and Calcutta—transfer judicial records of pending cases to the Delhi High Court within seven days.
Earlier, on January 15, the Supreme Court had hinted at the possibility of consolidating all petitions under a single high court, with the Punjab and Haryana High Court being the initial preference. However, the final decision placed the responsibility on the Delhi High Court.

The CLAT 2025 examination, conducted on December 1, 2024, serves as the gateway for admissions into prestigious undergraduate and postgraduate law programs across the country.
