CUET UG 2023: From an increase in the number of exam places to the number of subjects offered and increased fees, here is a list of the important changes introduced by the NTA

CUET UG 2023: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the application forms for CUET UG 2023 on February 10. However, the reviewing body has made some changes to the application and review process. From the increase in the number of test slots to the number of subjects offered and the increase in fees, here is a list of the important changes introduced by the NTA.

Increase in the number of exam places

This year, NTA has increased the number of test slots from two to three phases in one day. As a result, CUET will now run in three phases each day. Slot times have not yet been confirmed. In 2022, CUET was held in two shifts: from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 6:45 p.m.

Reduced number of questions

This year, the number of questions to attempt in sections 2 and 3 has been reduced. In section 2, candidates must now answer 35/40 questions out of 45/50. Similarly, in Section 3, a total of 50 out of 60 questions should be attempted. Previously, applicants had to answer 60 of the 75 questions in this section. Increased number of theme options

Candidates taking the CUET UG this year will be able to choose a maximum of 10 subjects from the three sections. Last year, this choice was limited to 9 subjects.

Increase in application fees

For CUET UG 2023, fees will be charged based on the number of subjects chosen by applicants. Applicants applying under the non-reserved category are required to pay a fee of Rs 750 for three subjects, Rs 1,500 for up to 7 subjects and Rs 1,750 for up to 10 subjects.
