Bhima Koregaon Case – Key Evidence Against Defendant Presented With Malware, According To Digital Forensic Report

A report by Arsenal Consulting, a Chelsea, USA digital forensic analyst, denied the electronic evidence collected by the investigative agency against Rona, Wilson, 42, and 15 other people arrested in the Bhima Koregaon violence case, including Surendra Gadling, Mahesh Raut, Shoma Sen, Sudhir Dhawale, Arun Ferriera, Vernon Gonslaves, Sudha Bharadwaj and P. • Arsenal Consulting, which was cordoned off by the American Bar Association to examine the cloned copy of Wilson’s computer hard drive, said a hacker controlled his computer for a period of 22 months to lock down documents, leading to an alleged investigation that unraveled an Indian communist (Maoist) party conspiracy to remove Prime Minister Narendra Modi “in another Rajiv Gandhi-type incident.”
  • Wilson filed a brief motion in Bombay High Court requesting that the FIR and the charges against him be vacated in light of this report. His request explains how a hacker exploited the IP addresses provided by a “marine host” and used proxy servers to plant a “NetWire Trojan.”
  • This first put Wilson under surveillance and then remotely via malware handed over various files, including incriminating correspondence with other defendants.
  • It was this correspondence that was used, first by the Pune police and later by the National Investigative Agency (NIA), as incriminating evidence against the activists, the petition read.
