The first phase of vaccination will start on January 16

India’s Covid-19 vaccination campaign is expected to start on January 16, with priority given to around three million healthcare workers and frontline workers, the Ministry of Health added that this will be followed by the voluntary vaccination of over 50s and population groups under 50 with co-morbidities, totaling around Rs 27 million.
