The Air India Express plane from Dubai that crashed at Kozhikode on Friday evening was a repatriation flight operated by Vande Bharat, and those on board were returning after being stranded for several months.

  • Up to 56 of the 175 passengers on board were stranded tourists who were reunited with their families after months, a copy of the passenger manifesto showed.
