ICSE Announces Exam Results

On July 10, the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) announced the results of class exams 10 and 12, when it decided not to publish a list of merits this year due to “Exceptional circumstances”. CISCE had to cancel its current exams due to the increase in Covid-19 cases.

  • The results were calculated based on another evaluation scheme decided by him.
  • According to the announced results, a total of 2,065,525 candidates passed the Class 10 exams, known as the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE), while 1,377 candidates failed.
  • Class 12 exams, called the Indian School Certificate (ISC) exam, were validated by 85,611 candidates, while 2,798 students failed.

The number of coronavirus cases reported in India was 8, 18,906, with 22,122 deaths. India’s death rate for Covid-19 fell to 2.72% from 2.82% a month earlier, which is lower than that of many other countries, the Union Department of Health said on Friday.

  • Meanwhile, a total blockade will be imposed in Pune, Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra and in some rural areas of the district from July 13 to 23, against the background of a sharp increase in coronavirus cases. Pune reported a record 1,803 new infections on Friday.

The government has said it is suspending publication of key industrial production figures for May due to insufficient data collection. Most industrial companies were closed in March, a statement from the statistical ministry said. The government previously suspended the publication of industrial production figures for April, as well as retail inflation data for April and May. The government has stated that “it may not be appropriate to compare the IIP of May 2020 with that of the months prior to the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Rahul Gandhi, today criticized the decision of the university scholarship commission to carry out graduation exams in schools and educational institutions in September amid the pandemic.
