SC rescinds Jagannath Rath Yatra’s order

In a major victory for tradition and religious fervor over the safety concerns of coronoviruses, the Supreme Court lifted ban over Jagannath Rath Yatra from Puri on June 18.

Previously CJI Sharad A. Bobde stopped the trip in the order shown above to prevent the spread of the disease. Today, one day before the scheduled date of the visit, the court, flooded with more than a dozen requests for intervention, tried to withdraw. Ban decided to leave the operation of a safe journey in the hands of the Odisha State and the temple administration.

The court simply stated that they did not want to “micromanage” the festival. He asked state and temple authorities to consult the Center to find out if it met physical distance standards. At one point, it was reported that the state could prevent euthanasia in the event of a spike in infection.

The yatra and its festivities take place over a period of 10 to 12 days. The order has not yet been published on the court’s website. At this point, it is recalled that major religious events, ranging from the Church of Jesus Shinchonji in South Korea to the Tablighi Jamaat Conference in Nizamuddin, turn out to be the Kovid-19 super diffusers.

The number of cases of coronovirus in the country was 4,35,742 with a death of 13,981. Despite the rapid growth of infections, the Ministry of Health is doing its best to give a positive turn to the figures.

Today’s statement says that Indian cases of Kovid-19 per lakh person have one of the lowest despite the highest population density in the world, and the recovery rate has now reached almost 56%.

For each lakh population, India has 30.04 cases of coronavirus, while the world average is more than three times that figure, at 114.67, said the ministry, referring to the 153 WHO state report , dated June 21.

Experts say the number of positive cases is related to the scale of the test: if the test rate is low, the infection reported per million will also be low. Test rates in India are among the lowest in the world.

India and China are conducting a new round of corps-level talks today at a meeting of Chushul-Moldo border troops in eastern Ladakh to ease tensions after clashes in the east from Ladakh last week in Galvan. The first round of talks with the corps commander took place on June 6, where both sides gained a critical understanding of limited “disintegration.”

However, the consensus was broken after Indian soldiers were attacked during the downscaling process on June 15, resulting in the deaths of 20 Indian soldiers, including a colonel, in the Galvan Valley.
