UPSC 2019 Results announced

The results of the 2019 Civil Service Examination were announced by the Union Civil Service Commission (UPSC). A total of 829 candidates were selected for various civilian services as part of the 2019 edition of the exam.

  • The final result is available on the official UPSC website. UPSC declared the final list of selected candidates based on the result of the written part of the 2019 civil service examination conducted in September 2019 and the interviews or personality test conducted in February-August 2020.
  • Of those used the EWS quota, which was implemented during the civil service exam for the first time in 2019, 78 candidates were selected. The result of 11 candidates was withhed.
  • UPSC annually conducts the Civil Service Exam for the selection of candidates for Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and other Central Services. The 2020 civil service exam was scheduled for May 31. This examination has been postponed to October 4 in light of the coronavirus crisis.
  • Pradeep Singh tops the 2019 Civil Services examination (CSE). The second rank is endorsed by Jatin Kishore. Pratibha Verma at rank 3 is the top scorer in women.
  • A total of 829 candidates passed the exam. Most of the qualified applicants (304) fall into the general category. The candidates were recommended to the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among other civilian services.
  • Those who have not yet verified their result can follow these steps: visit upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in. Click on the result link. Log in with your credentials. The result will be displayed on the screen. Download and print it for more references.
  • Out of a total of 829 qualified candidates, 304 are general category, 78 from EWS, 251 from OBC, 129 from SC and 67 from category ST.
  • UPSC also maintained a consolidated reserve list of 182 candidates. The result of 11 candidates was accepted.
